Would you mind to tell cost and location?
I have 3 sets of W211 wheels and the reason for having 3 is that those that come with the car had lot of scratches and I figured out it is cheaper to spend $400 for another set, than repair the damages. (I went overboard in the mean time)
Maybe I made wrong economical decision, but on the other hand I sleep better now- knowing it will not backfire on me.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

You are on opposite sides of the country. The shipping alone could eat up any savings.

You never know. Shipping is getting cheaper and cheaper while prices for service go up and up. At least in CA.
Than I see that in Poland they restore wheels with painted center and high-polish of the outer ring. Some of those designs are really beautiful and the service cost less than $100.
I can ship wheels there for less than $100 so would I have fancy wheels that needs restoration, I would send them.
I was fortunate to find monoblocks by Lorinser, but they are chrome and therefore much harder to restore.
