So dissapointed by Mercedes-Benz dealer service

I took my babe, a 2000 W202 C240 for service the other day. Only 500km had remained until the next service so I thought I would have it "Service B"ed. It was the first time I was visiting the dealer. The guy asked me if I had any problem with the car and got his eyes wide open when I told him that it was as per the regular service schedule. I don't know, but maybe he'd never seen a guy taking his 14 year old car for a service to official dealer. But my car is really in a good shape and I want to keep it like that for long. It's got only 88k km (not miles) on the clock. I know that Service B includes more checks so I thought I'd rather take B than A. According to what the guy told me, the best option would be full technical examination of the car. That consisted the electronics and mechanical systems. The only thing they did about electronics they connected the car to a computer and let it run for a few minutes. They they took the car on the lift and examined under. No fluid level checks, no exterior light checks, no tire pressure checks,no bolt tightening. Nothing. At the end I did not receive any paper showing what checks and test were performed. they just said everything was OK. And besides that, when I asked the cost of the corrosion test, they said they had no such service. Is this normal for an official Mercedes-Benz workshop?

I've never heard of a corrosion "test" either. At least not anything beyond a visual inspection.

You paid the bill with no statement?
Fluid check would be part of the regular service, while you had it for technical examination.
Did they change the oil?
How much did you pay?

By corrosion test I mean exactly what you mean. It should be inspected by an expert and treat it accordingly. But they said they can't do anything even if they find any sort of bubbling or alike

No they did not change any oil (I've recently changed the engine oil it myself). But they did not check any other fluids. They charged $110. No statement. I mean what I received was a paper stating: 1.Electronics test 2. Mechanics test. Nothing detailed.

Service B would cost $500 or even more.
You've got what you paid for.

I know that, I'm not complaining about the cost. What I didn't like was I took the car for Service B and they did not perform any Service B but rather offered something that's not in Mercedes service literature. By the way I asked the cost of Service B before the visit and they said it was $133. You might think that huge service for just $133???? Yes, indeed. And that's what makes me more pessimistic about their staff. It seems like they have no idea what even Service B is. And that's indeed an official dealer because Daimler AG themselves provided me with the contact details.

We don't know what you have ordered, but you picked up the car with no service performed and you did not questioned that at the time.
Go back there and order Service B. End of the story.

I think you should go back and order a Service B but subtract the $110 from the Service B invoice. On the other hand, $110 is low for a full technical inspection.

Or better still, discuss this with MB head office. Your concern is a dealership they refer you does not know Service B at all.
