Diff options for 1966 230S fintail

Hi all

I am new to this site but it seems this is where I will get all the info I need. I have a 1966 230S fintail and just fitted a 4.0L lexus V8 with gearbox to the car. I believe my current diff ratio is 4.1:1. When doing a 120kmh my revs is 3200rpm. I would like to bring this down some more and reckon a diff in the range of 3.69:1 would be a good bet. My question is would a 3.69 ratio from a W108 fit straight into my car and is the width of the diff the same as the W111. I am running 235/40/18 tyres at the moment and they fit perfectly with no touching anywhere on the bodywork. A wider diff wont work with my tyres.
