Fitting the Brabus D6 iii *CLS 320*
Hi, I'm new here! This looks like a good place to hang.
Perhaps someone on here can help me out?
I'm currently trying to fit the Brabus box but I've run into a hitch. Hopefully someone on here can dig me out.
Fitting the loom seemed to be going really well until I got the point where the manual told me to find and connect the quantity control valve.
I detached the connector from the end of the valve it's self at the end of the rail thinking this was where I needed to be (as you look at the motor) only to find that the connector I was now holding and trying to fit wasn't the correct one. It's true to say that the arrow pointing to a spot in the manual (which is pretty crappy actually) is showing a point slightly above or further back if you prefer by a few inches it looks like.
The thing is that right there by the injectors is this foam stuff so I can't see what might be below the foam and resting on the motor. I suspect that my connector might just be there.
It seems like a nightmare to dismantle the airbox sitting around all this foam. So before I start chopping the foam or dismantle anything I really hope someone can come through for me with what might be under that foam and if my quantity control valve connector might be there.
If someone has done this job, works at Merc's or has some detailed drawing I'd be very grateful.
