560 SEL with 200000 miles
Hi, I am new to this forum but I am not new to Mercedes. I learned to drive in a 1971 280 SE 3.5, and my last daily driver was a 1995 C 280 that I sold with 193,000 miles on it. I drove the 280 across the country at 180,000 - it was a brilliant cross-country companion even at an advanced age. We had another W126 in the family but it wasn't my car, so I know some about them - just not enough. I am looking at a 1991 560 SEL right now, that has 200,000 miles on it. So far, all I can tell that is wrong with this car is that the sunroof needs attention (It tilts but it doesn't slide). I've read all the sticky links and many of the pages here, already. I know to be aware of the timing chain. I am seeing the car tomorrow. Knowing M-B as I do, if it's properly maintained, I see no reason to be concerned about the mileage. If you know of any red flags I am not aware of, I would appreciate your comments.
