SBC pump warranty

Can anyone tell me if the 10 year extended warranty for the SBC pump would still be active for my 2004 E500?

If you are not the first owner then MBUSA or a dealer can tell the car's first in service date.
The warranty is 10 years from that date.

We just contacted Mercedes Canada for a 2003 E500 with same problem. They said they have extended the warranty to 12 years. We took the car in and they repaired it at no cost to us. My understanding is that they are set for 200,000 cycles or there about . My guess is that they just reset them??? Hope this helps.

Victoria BC was always my favorite. Maybe it is time to move?

Can you live without snow?
My Polish buddy lives there and they have snow on the Island. About every 5 years.
Just about right amount.

Update on SBC extended warranty

Thanks for all you reply's. I spoke to the dealer today and they requested my VIN #. Having placed that into their system it responded the date of original registration was March 2004 and therefore the 10 year extension has expired! I think this is a terrible injustice to all Benz owners. There should be no expiration date for this poorly designed part. I'm now looking at upwards of $2000 in repair costs for a 1 month differential.

I'm happy to hear you've receive an additional 2 years extension in Canada. And BTW... it's not just rolling back the #s, the pump is literally beginning to fail.
