With the posts about speed in Europe, this is car I have in Sicily, found it almost 4 years ago with only 30K km (19K miles). It sits for months between our trips over. Its 1.1 L but very light, cruises easily at at the 130 km (83 mph) speed limit - which is not enforced. In 12 years, I have never seen anyone pulled over. You WILL keep right, and watch the mirror, because a Mercedes, a BMW, a Cruze, a Nissan Qashqai (Rogue), or even a Golf 2.0 TDI may be overtaking you at 120+ at any time, and the Autostrada on Sicily are nothing like US Interstates. The newest big thing is the Fiat Freemont (Dodge Journey) with its hi-torque turbo diesel, bigger than almost any Mercedes you'll see there, and affordable for people who have NO business running 120 mph or more because they previously never could do it! Then THEY get in the way of an S-Type Mercedes who wants to run 140-160, and I want to get my CitroŽn AX the heck off the road!
