I am shopping for a newer "S" model, but I am perplexed when I look at the CPO cars at the dealer's lot. 30-40% cheaper after 2 years and a better warranty! That is a lot of money when the MSRP gets close to $120,000. What gives?
Of course the S550 eats tires and the leather seats fall apart, but I want it for highway traveling. I would prefer an S320, if it really exists, as the USA speed limits don't allow normal driving above 80mph. I could care less about the 0-60 speed, but care more about the 50-70 speed when passing on 2 lane roads.
But, if the S320 price of $100K falls to $70K in year 2 and $50K in year 3, that is more expense than I can afford.
This is a great driver's car, except for the comand center and lack of gauges.
The little gremlins come and go at will.
