Exclamation 722.6 Tran 98 C230

I have a 1998 C230 with the good ol'e 722.6 tran. I had to get a pair of locking pliers to get off the drain bolt for the tran fluid because it was stripped. Here is the problem. I have to change my conductor plate and I watched a pro video how to do all that but the problem is the little bolts around the pan are stripped. How in the heck would you overcome this issue guys? Please help me because I don't want to pay 1200 bucks for someone to fix this when I can just do it myself. Just hoping someone out there has a solution I could use. Thanks..

With only four posts we don't know your mechanical ability, but hopefully you recognize that they are not regular bolts? They are E-torx bolts, which take special sockets. If they are actually stripped, then you will have to figure out how to get them out, locking pliers, etc. But buy the new ones first, because they will not be easy to find.

You're also likely to get better information about your car if you post in the section specific to it, the W202 sedan section. This general forum is just that, general info roughly useful about all MB models.

Good luck.

I was dealing with steering rack adjustment and per my measurements it takes E80 socket.
Checked all tool suppliers in the county and nobody would carry it.
Went to Sears and they sold me new generation universal sockets who did grip the bolt.
Can't find the picture, but socket has kind of square teeth on the circle, that bite into several sizes.
