2014 e350 -- Tire/Rim pkge?!

Hello-

I am about to pick up a 2014 e350 sport, leasing it. Can anyone tell me if it is worth it to get the tire/rim pkge for an additional $50/month?

I think this will be down to your mileage, does this cover rim damage as well.

It is cosmetic decision as I doubt you want the better wheels for track driving.
Costly.

i am referring to the tire/rim insurance package for $50 additional per month - wondering if that is worth it.

I did not purchase the tire/rim insurance with my 2014 E250BT. After owning several vehicles over my 35 years of driving and never ruining a tire or rim, I kept the money and will rely on past experience! There are potholes around here but not jammed packed roads so you can easily avoid them.

Sorry for misunderstanding.
Insurance is always the same thing - you don't need it till you need it.
I think $50 a month is still lot of money, but sport tires going for $200 while sport rims at MB go into 4-digits sure would make some buying it.
The tires of last generation are very reliable, so catching a flat is low risk, but in last 2 months I pulled 3 nails from 3 of my vehicles/trailer. Chances of that are very slim and I suspect neighbors spilling junk on my gravel driveway.

If I have a nail in my tire, I would go to a tire store nearby to get it fixed. I don't want to call MB to book an appointment to fox it.

As for wheels, would there be a "loaner" wheel with tire which matches your other tires? Wheel repair usually involves painting that needs time to dry.
