Paint question

I am looking to have some paint work done on a 99 c280. Driver side front and passenger door has some rust. Pictures are attached. I am wondering what the estimated cost would be on this? Is it possible to fix and get good match? Anyone have any thoughts?

You have some rust to fix before painting.
Even if you find a shop who does paint with MB quality and will get original paint for your car, the new paint will look differently as 15 years old faded.
Silver is less prone to fading, but still it will show for at least 2 years till new paint fade close to the old one.
Sad part is that with labor charges in US such a job often exceed the value of 15 years old car.
Good luck with estimates.

If you take your car to a local panelbeater, they can tell you exactly how much it will cost you to have the rust removed and the doors repainted. The estimate will be free of charge.

A good body shop will want to paint the doors fully, and attempt to blend into the other panels. You might be able to get by under $2k.

I had a mexican in a beater pick-up slam on his brakes in a parking lot and jump out yelling he could repair $10k worth of body damage for $1500. I suspected the amount of bondo would be excessive.

One place wouldn't quote as they said it needs a new door skin. Anther place quoted 1800 and that included paint the whole drivers side and the rear quarter on the passenger side. My question is with blending will the paint cone out looking the same when you look at the car. I really like this body style etc so I bought this with the intention of keeping and fixing.

I've been pleasantly surprised in recent years that color matching is pretty good.
Of course, it's operator dependent....

The only way you can guarantee the rust being gone is by replacing the doors.
