Wis ASRA

I have tried to reinstall the Wis ASRA for Mercedes Benze. I have tried to install it in WinXP SP3 Media edition. When I try to open the program manager, I get a German block of words. When I type admin in the next screen, I get 2 ? marks. Does any one know how to install the program. I did install it in WinXP SP3 home edition.

How are you installing ? From DVD's or from the VMware image on this site ?

Sounds like some very old release, based on the program manager comment. Better to abandon that.

Can you see a tab called Options? If so, go to Set up (F2). Then Language. You can select English.

My first WIS was loaded onto my Win XP SP3 PC, and it was OK for 6 years. My current WIS only runs on Win 7. It will not load on my XP system.

This sounds odd too. I have used both WIN7 and XP with the current WIS release and quite a few earlier ones. Perhaps your issue isn't the OS but Java? The latest Java does not work, or you need to adjust security settings.

Well the sales info clearly stated that it was only for Win 7, so I did not try it in my Win XP PC. My old WIS did not use Java to operate. It was totally 'free-standing' and could be used offline.
