2010 ML350 Bluetec deacceleration?

I just got a 2010 ML350 Bluetec and I notice when I let my foot off the gas, the vehicle does not coast, but rather deaccelerates a bit. Is this normal?

I'm sorry, but you take your foot off the throttle, and the vehicle's speed reduces? What other response were you expecting?

He likely was used to gasoline engines, that turn lightly, therefore not giving much braking.
Diesels are different animals.

There seems to be a difference in letting the foot off the accelerator with a gas versus diesel mercedes. But, thanks anyway for your trite response.
