In depth Study of Mercedes and BMW

Hey I am doing an in depth study between the pros and cons of Mercedes, and BMW. I wanted to get some valuable insight that came from some Mercedes Enthusiasts, people that actually drive the car and can give me specific reasons why a Mercedes may trump a BMW, or why a BMW is not all it's cracked up to be.

Talking points could include –

• Engines
• Fuel Economy
• Quality of parts (engineering)
• Driving dynamics

Mercedes Brand
• Image
o Cost
• The Company
o Way of doing things
o Values
o Backstage (employees, designers, engineers etc.)
• Warranty

Vehicle Options (the car itself and different models offered compared to similar brands)

Any sort of responses would be helpful!

My general impression is that BMW likes to jump fast to new technologies, what makes long term reliability issues.
That is why BMW is good candidate for hot date, while Mercedes is something you might want to marry.

You can flog a dead horse over and over, but it stays dead. This topic has been done well and truly past that. --> why-mercedes-benz-better-than-bmw

Why don't you just tell us what your dilemma is? You're thinking about selling your W203 and downgrading to a Beemer?

Welcome to the forum.
