Low MPG Reading
Iím new to the site and new to the world of Mercs so firstly a big hello!
Right I picked up my new car yesterday, a 2007 A160 CDI and was expecting an MPG return of around 55MPG if I took the worst case scenario assuming rubbish fuel had been used. According to other A160 CDI users 65MPG is easily achieved.
However, according to the trip computer which was reset at the start of the journey I only managed 40MPG! The journey was all motorway miles travelling at 50-70MPH, all steady state.
The car has full MB service history and was serviced by the garage before we picked it up.
Any ideas? Could it just be a case that rubbish fuel has always been put in the car so it just needs a good few batches of fuel with cleaning additive in?
Cheers in advance
