S550 bottoms out (scratches) when cold...

Hey, everyone, hopefully this is the right area to post. If not, my apologies.

Anyway, quick question. I've got a 2007 S550 and in the morning I can hear the bottom scraping every time I go over a bump. By the time I get to work there's no more scraping.

Any ideas? Bad shocks? But why would they be bad only in the morning? Does anyone have an estimate of what I'll be paying to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Does your vehicle have the Airmatic suspension? It could be a seal or something that is marginal when it is cold not allowing the car to inflate the airbags to the proper ride height. When the car is warm and everything expands it then reseals. something to think about. is your engine light on? Im surprised it would ride that low without triggering a code.
