W221 (JPN SPEC) Time clock cant be adjusted!

The W221 was imported from Japan and I have no qualms driving it.

The thing that irritates me is that the display clock is 1 hour ahead of Malaysian time.

I've tried changing it via the COMAND system but there seems to be no feature allowing me to change the time.

My guess is that it syncs with the GPS NAVI SAT system.

The display on the NAVI SAT at this moment is showing the car itself on sea.

Is there a solution to this problem?

Can I purchase a NAVI SAT disc (region locked) and install it into the COMAND system to fix this problem?

Where can I acquire this?

Hit the Service or SVC button and the clock adjust options should appear.
If that does not work it may need to have some sort of update done at the dealer to the COMAND unit.

Is it possible to locate the software online and self DIY with the right tools?

The car does not have manufacturer's warranty and is usually serviced by friends who are in this line of servicing and maintaining luxury cars.

I do not know what software is used and whether or not the dealers use the MB Star computer to make the change.

I know several members have brought cars from Japan to Australia and New Zealand and were able to get the time issue fixed by a dealer.

Alright, I do have contacts at a nearby MB showroom.

Will definitely give it a try.

Thank you.
