v6 sedan vs v6 coupe vs v8 sedan insurance prices?

My current car was a 2001 Mercedes e320, well today a lady in a Cadillac esclade attempted to cross the highway with me 100 feet away. I ended up tboning her. My car is completely totalled. I want to replace it with another mercedes, possibly a coupe or a v8 version but I'm curious about insurance. Obviously nobody can tell me what I'll pay but I'm curious if anyone has experience and can say it was the same. 10% more. Double. Etc

A 2001 has very little value as it is almost 14 model years old. You will get less than $5000-6000 at the very best.

Your budget will dictate what you model and style you can afford. If you give us a clue as to budget then we might be able to steer you in a direction.

Insurance doesn't base the premiums on number of cylinders in USA, but on several factors including safety records.
Meaning nobody can tell you quote till you come with VIN or at least MY model.
Generally you can expect higher premium from V8 mounted in the same chassis comparing to V6, but when you change model, it might all change.
Only your insurance agent can give you specific quotas.

I got a quote for liability with collision on on a 2002 clk 320, and 430. The 320 was 365 every 6 months and the 430 was 374 every 6 months

I sold my 2002 E320 and bought a 2012 E350 and my insurance went up $12 every six months. I expected the cost to go up much more, but with added safety features and a good driving record, it's difficult to get a good quote from anyone but your insurance company. Your insurance company website may have an option to get a quote without actually buying the insurance just as mine has.

ALLIKANBE was that for liability or full coverage?
With new cars being much safer the liability should go down.
Obviously accidents coverage for new car will go up.

If there is already a model you are interested in, just call your insurance company and get a quote.
