What to buy?

Happy New Year!

New here, so please excuse if this question does not quite fit.

Looking to take the plunge and buy either:

1977 450 sel 6.9: 100k miles, engine pulls strong with no smoke, suspension will need work in near future, interior fair, some rust, been in storage for 3 years, US Spec, $7.5k
1987 560 sec, 50k miles, mint condition, $10k
1992 500 E, 120k miles, transmission redone, new caps rotors etc., $11k

Opinions?
Thanks

Of those three I would go for the 6.9. The 500E has higher miles and the 560SEC doesn't do anything for me. Is this car going to be a toy/investment or a driver? I know that the air suspension in the W116 can be tricky to get sorted properly.

Seems as 500E had some electrical issues?

Car will mostly be a weekend cruiser. A bit leery of the 6.9 suspension issues, seems like that could be a real money toilet! Also no ABS, so that is a bit of a concern for rain/snow driving.

Still like the 560 sec, though seems as if there was an engine upgrade for later models?

Cheers

Late W124 cars did have issues with the wiring harness so if it has been replaced you may be okay there. You are right that the 6.9 suspension can be a money pit.
