Warranty HELP! Carchex or Endurance?

I need some help; just bought a 2008 300C from a relative with just 11,500 miles. It's out of warranty. My best options and discussions seem to be Endurance and Carchex. Each about even at 5 years/75k miles coverage at $3,200 - $3,400 for their best "bumper to bumper" with similar detail/fine print exclusions. Can anyone recommend one over other? Endurance is their own Administrator. Neither is hard selling me. I've had Warranty Direct before and don't want to deal with a dealer warranty due to higher (inflated) cost. Thanks very much, Heppmann.

I bought one, on the advice of my dealer, from Fidelity Warranty Services (Platinum Plan) and they are somewhere in Florida. I was satisfied with their reaction to the few issues I had.

Thanks! I will check them out as I am in Florida. I know some say "self insure" with the money; I also know how quickly Mercedes repairs stack up.

You're welcome. I think their name is different now but a search for Fidelity should find them. After all was said and done, I at least broke even and possibly made a little bit. I was only given N/C invoices so don't know exactly what the jobs would have cost had I been paying for them.

extended warranty

About 3 months ago I bought a 2007 E350 from a private party. Our purchase was financed thru our local credit union They offered an extended warranty through Route 66 Extended warranty. The coverage was for 5 years,or 100,000 miles. The cost was $2175, and it covered basically the whole vehicle less normal maintenance items. I believe that this coverage is sold through a lot of credit unions, and I found the cost was signify less than other offerings that I looked at. Rt. 66 also was rated quite favorably from what I could see.

As a comparison my Fidelity Platinum warranty was 3/36,000 and even with a generous discount was over $3000 so Route 66 is worth a look.

Another variable is my car was 7 years old and had almost 70,000 miles on it at the time of purchase.
