I had rare for average man choice to live anywhere I would like in the World.
Did spend a year in Germany, to eventually end in California. My close friends ended in Canada since US was out of their reach.
But now, after years they might have smaller houses, but are not facing leaving them to the banks.
No worry about medicare or Obamacare, whatever you call it.
When in strict capitalism well educated and brilliant people will sure become millionaires, the millions of average Joes usually are better in social system.
Growing up in communism I learned the way to use the system to your advantage. Being self-employed I needed to go abroad in a hurry, while normal way to get passport renewed was 5 weeks. Took a letter to County Financial Dept Supervisor asking for speedy procedure. The Supervisor listen to my reasons, told me he is not accepting them and hand-wrote on my letter "proceed in normal way" signing it widely.
I left the office pretty pi**ed, but after some cooling I took a look at huge signature and start thinking "who will ever read what the boss hand-wrote above it?"
I went via a dozen of offices to have my releases signed off and everybody did it immediately after seeing the boss signature. Nobody read the note.
So look at it from positive way. If MBCanada doesn't want to take your money, maybe this is a good thing?
