New - OEM - Used parts to fix an issue
So here's a question I've been thinking about and I can't seem to get myself to decide:
My W203 2001 C320 has a Power Steering pump issue, it needs to be changed.
Changing it means over $1,000 for a Brand new Mercedes-Benz part.
About $400 for an OEM part, and about $100-$150 for a used part.
I was told that my model has a known issue in the power steering pump and they are all crap, and will eventually crap out
So buying new, on a 190,000+ mile car (309,000km) doesn't seem like a good choice, the engine could blow at any time etc.
Buying OEM, who knows?!
and buying Used, it'll just break down again, that was their fault which brings me right back to this point...
Any thoughts AT ALL please share. And yes this is in the general forum, since it's not a question about my model, but about repairing a MB,
Thank you in advance!
