I was looking for things to make with my new CNC mill to get experience using it, so I made these things for my fiancé's C320 Coupe.
I am not a wimp, but I cannot get the oil filler cap off after a couple of months without some kind of wrench, so I made the oil filler cap grip tool out of a delrin scrap.
The 25 N-m torque on the plastic oil filter cap is very tight for the 14 flat plastic hex, so after using monster channellocks the first time to get it off, I made the socket. Had to buy metal for this, didn't have any 3 1/2 inch aluminum.
And, after seeing the lighted star for the new models, I made this one out of a block of lucite.
CNC machines are really neat.
