1997 E320 Electrical Issues

Having some electrical issues with my E320. The battery is being drained, turn signals are not working and the windshield wiper is not functioning property. Assumed it was the alternator, so I replaced it. They even told me at the parts store that the old one was bad. After replacing alternator, I'm still having the same issues. I've check the fuses all seem to be ok. It seems as if it's minor, but can's seem to figure it out. Your help/comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the battery is draining when the car is off, it is possible to isolate the faulty circuit or component. The attached pdf applies to a different model from yours, but the principles are the same.

Connect an ammeter in series with your battery, then pull out one fuse at a time until the current drops to below 50 mA. Then connect the ammeter across that fuse's terminals and disconnect components on that circuit until the current drops.

If no component causes current drop, check the wiring for a short circuit to ground.

If no fuse causes a current drop, you need to check the components on unfused circuits.
