I am beginning to investigate owning a C Class.
I have owned a BMW 3 series, and although I really liked it, I'm not a fan of run flat tires, or the tired interior of the 3, which seems to have hardly changed in years.
I test drove the A4, and found it a bit slow. Liked the S4, but not the price.
Since I live in a snowy area, some kind of AWD system would be a good idea, so I was looking at the 2013 C300 4MATIC as a used CPO.
I'm interested in a fully loaded fairly low mileage example under $40K.
I have not looked a Mercedes much as back in the day when I bought my BMW, they really were not catering to a younger market. So I am fairly inexperienced in looking at a Benz.
So here are my questions, thanks in advance for any help or advice:
1) Part of the reason I am getting pre-owned is to get a fully loaded example without the close to $50K price tag. But what options do you think are a must have on this car?
2) How about maintenance? My BMW used to be free. The VW I have now is free. I keep a car for no more than three years, often less. So if I got a CPO about a year old with say 10K miles on it, what kind of servicing and repair costs might I expect in the next couple of years. (I'm a low milage driver as I spend a lot of time flying to other states for work, and leaving the car in a garage).
3) How good do you think the CPO program is?
4) Anyone been having reliability issues with a car like this?
5) Any other good advice?
Thanks for your consideration. I like to do my homework before buying a new brand of car, and always find these type of forums handy for that research.
