Question GL 450 tire replacement

Hello, I am new to this forum.

Yesterday, my passage side rear tire was flat (a knife blade inserted, not sure if someone did purposely).

I called roadside service, and someone helped me install a backup tire.

This morning I drove to tire shop, the technician checked up the flatted tire and told me it's not repairable (since the cut is close to sidewall), he give me two options:

1, buy a new one and shaved to the same tread conditions to the other tires (about 6~7/32nd depth). which cost me $385 include tax

2. buy 4 sets @ 1279.59 since it's 4WD.

I am driving 2012 GL 450, mileage below 15K miles. original tire brand is Pirelli, model: Scorpion Zero, 275/55R 19, 111H.

I was wondering if this is covered by insurance (I have $500 deductible), also any thoughts which option to choose?
