Time to find yourself a new MB dealer - one that will not stuff around by clearing codes and doing nothing. If the same code recurs, it's hardly a coincidence. They need to replace injector 4. Sometimes brand new parts from the factory can be faulty - hence the need for quality control.

Find one who can set you up with a proper MB loaner car. Your warranty is good at any authorized dealer, not just the one who sold you the car.

Likely a bad injector. It happens. I've had them bad brand new out of the box.

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to keep pushing the dealer to find answers for me. There are 4 dealers in Vancouver area, so I can switch if I'm not getting the proper service. The car is still with the dealer at the moment, but I will update here once I here something from them.

I mentioned your problem to my mechanic today, and he was wondering why they didn't go ahead and replace the injector, the plug, and the spark coil? since this is warranty work.

Wish you well getting this straightened out.

Here's an update. Dealer just called, they say they replaced the injector, so hopefully the problem is gone now. They called my wife instead of me, otherwise I would have more information and ask them why they didn't do it the first time. But, we can pickup the car tomorrow, so hopefully that's the end of the problems.

Well, i was hoping that's the end of it, but i guess not. The check engine light just came on again...for the 3rd time. the car is at 1300km, while the past 150 out of 200km was driven by dealer for road test...i am lost, what should i do, this is starting to piss me off now. I can't take my daughter out this long weekend due to this. This is just getting ridiculous

Plug and coil, now? This dealer seems to be the economy MB dealer.

I just did a bit more research, there's someone with a 2013ML bluetec had the same problem. same error code 13BB00, max actuation duration for zero quantity calibration for injector #4 exceeded. But that poster only posted once, so don't know whether it got resolved or not. That owner indicated that the dealer saying it is a software issue and Mercedes is working on to fix it...If this is true, I hope MB better come up with a solution soon, I have two daughters under 2 years old, and I don't have the time to deal with this car on weekly basis...Every time it is a half day return trip to the dealer, while getting a tiny loaner car instead of driving the full size SUV, this is not what I was paying for...

It should be quite safe to drive the car on the long weekend. You know that it's the injector and it's intermittent, so there's no danger. If the ECU has any problem with it, it will shut it off.

Just call the dealer up on Tuesday and book a time. Now that it will be in for the 3rd visit over this issue, they are under more pressure to fix it.

Why would the light turn on when you only had it for 1 month? That's weird.
