W140 (S500, 1995) General Maintenance

Hi friends,
Just bought a fantastic 1995 S500 (W140) and would like to do some basic maintenance as can't afford a mechanic to do the work.

I'd like to start by changing the oil, transmission fluid and spark plugs (plus anything else members here suggest).

Where do i find what oil, spark plugs etc for this model? I went to get a manual and it was $140!! No way going to purchase that at the moment.

Any help guys?

If $140 for a manual is beyond your means, you're in the wrong car.

Think the facts i've obtained all the service manual info for free, saved $1000 by finding a leaking water pump myself and seeking to save $5000 in electrical mechanical bills for a new loom installation here - exactly the reason I can have such a vehicle.

Yeah maintaining a car with help of the internet/videos/forums etc. is limited to only a small portion of our gene pool which judging by your repeated comments, is not a club you're in sport

You forgot the comma before "sport".
