Option codes dont match

This might be a complete noob question but...

I have from a dealer the original option code list for a 2010 C300(W204) and the codes dont match the many "option code lists" that are available on the internet. For example..
Code 067 - Illuminated Door Sills
is listed as 067A - Cloth medium red

Code 218 - Rearview Camera
is listed as 218 - Rear axle ratio for France

Almost all my codes are like this
What the hell is going on?

You can't believe everything you read on the internet. Unless it's in Wikipedia.

"everything you read on the internet" and "Wikipedia" have nothing to do with this situation. Most of the "option code lists" that I got came from this forum or the other MB forum, MBWorld.

Mercedes has over the years used the same option code for different options, a practice in which they are not alone.

Thanks.

Ok, then. Does anybody know where theres a recent option code list for model years greater than or equal to 2010? Where, for instance, option code 218 is a rearview camera and not an axle ratio for the French.

Your local dealer should be able to help you with that, this stuff is not top secret.

You can test Russian site with that. Put your VIN and if you don't understand Russian, put it on google translator.

It does give you the data card which is a list of options (including the verbal description of the code) for one specific car. This is sufficient when the car is known.

From EPC you can also find the explanation for all option codes individually. In the US EPC access if free.
