Help! car's been busted up

There was an incident with my car wherein the whole side of my 2010 e class got busted up against a highway rail. The car needs body work including frame work it seems, as the right whole side of the car has been scuffed up, the door doesnt fully close and the front right wheel is slightly out of shape.

I have never been in an accident or this type of situation before and need some advice. Am I supposed to take care of the damages through insurance? If so whats the best thing to tell them and which shop will they tell me to take it to? Or Am I supposed to go to a local body/frame shop? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

For the starters the E class does not have frame.
If you have full coverage on the car, you sure want to use it. Just tell them what happen as it really doesn't matter to them how it happen.
From your description the car likely will be totaled.
You can take it to any shop you desire. Should get at least 2 estimates.
Good luck.

Did you call your dad and ask him what to do?

Try phoning your insurance company and telling them what happened. Normally they will want you to take the car to some body shops for estimates. You don't get to choose who does the repairs - the job goes to the lowest bidder. You can get as many estimates as you like, and only submit the 3 that put your preferred shop as the cheapest.
