Uneven idle after egr delete W203 C220 CID

Hi all,

Running a 05 W203 C220 Cdi 121k.

After uncussessfully fitting two second hand (i know I know) egr valves I decided to bite the bullet and get the remapped to delete the egr today.

Now seem to have uneven idle.

All the guy did was plug it in, remap and then pull the plug off the egr. He started going on about an inter cooler problem as well but I'm not sure if this was fishing for work. Obviously turbo isn't running at idle?

On the plus side the car did 61.5 mpg on a 22 mile motorway run.

The car didn't rough idle with the egr "working".

Any ideas?

Thought I heard a bit of rattle from the engine as well. In my mind it the egr sitting loose and "flopping" about.

Any help would be great if I have to go back to the remap guy.
