Anyone chipped their Mercedes?

Hi all, I was considering chipping my Mercedes c220cdi. My car is 10 years old and done 170k MPH and was wondering if it had done too many miles or if at that age would it damage the engine? Like to here the thought of anyone who has tried this.

Thanks...

I fitted a DTUK box to my W204 2009 C320CDI and I'm very pleased with it. I have it set on Map4 on the lowest setting. This box intercepts both boost and fuel pressure. The car is crisper and has more power.

I can't see how you'd damage the engine if it's been well maintained.

don't buy a generic chip

What I mean is don't buy a GForce Chip, its a resistor that fools your engine to believe outside air is cold.A real chip will cost $300 and higher. You have to mail ECU in to company.
Just trying to save you some money.also any resistor or chip, that claim to hook to Iat,or data only port, are a scam.

1999 s320. and 83 300sd quit driving,people make me nervous

Well I've rung around a few local companies that do tuning and 300 pounds is the average price. A few claiming I'll get around 40bhp more and remapping the ECU instead of putting a box in would mean it should not be noticeable, for insurance purposes, informing your insurance company which would increase your quote. I've never done anything like this to any vehicle, so very new to all of this.
