Angry Poor Quality of Mercedes Benz

I bought a new ML 250 last year. Car no has 33000 km on the clock. It packed up on a trip to Mozambique. The rear drive shaft came apart from the diff. Vehicle repatriated back to South Africa and at repair network. Part replace. Upon them testing the vehicle the same part failed again. Now Mercedes Benz are replacing the axles and the side shafts and more. I think they can give me a new vehicle. This is not financed. I paid cash for it. Really poor.

I bought my wife a ne B200 CDI for her birthday last year. The engine light decided to come on in this vehicle at 12 000 km. It has not even had its first service yet.

I have and existing 2007 E 220 CDI. Massive problems on this vehicle. Diesel injectors replaced, EGR valve replaced, Turbo Exploded into pieces before vehicle warranty was up, replace intake manifolds, replaced entire undercarriage ball joints, bushes engine mountings, 4 shock replaced, ESP system replaced. This all happened before 160 000 km. Really poor quality.

Had a C180 Elegance Estate. Hydraulic pipe next to exhaust system worn through as a result of poor design of vehicle. This very same problem happened to a C180 sedan I had before this.

Neither the dealerships or Mercedes Benz South Africa want to take responsibility for this rubbish.

I am seriously disappointed and disgusted at this behavior and service. All they do is charge you more money ang give nothing, not even service in return

Obviously your cars do not compare to any Mercedes Benz around the world, maybe it is an African thingy eh?

Hi Eric, except for one the C180 sedan all the rest were produced in Germany. Clearly they are sending Africa all the duds.

Only C Class produced in South Africa to my knowledge. It is one of only 4 C Class plants in the world. All the other is imported. It will take over 30 days according to Mercedes Benz to get the new parts into South Africa. I will be without a vehicle for close to 2 months by that stage. It will reportedly cost in the region of 30 000 USD to repair. All for their cost naturally. They are even paying for the cost of the air flights I had to pay to get my family out of Mozambique and they are getting the Mobile costs as well for all the calls made to sort this issue out.

I smell a product recall coming here !!!
