Smile Introducing Myself

Hello Everyone, Of course,I'm new to this forum so I will take a minute to introduce myself. I'm an Electrical Engineer(power systems), have been practicing since 1969. I work on my own vehicles. I live in central Illinois and read, garden, and repair iPhones and iPads as a hobby. I currently own and drive a beautiful 2007 C230,pewter in color with a black leather interior. I became aware of the Mercedes Benz brand when a work mate brought one back to life in 1966 (a 1958 sedan) and gave me a ride in it. Needless to say, I was expressed. I cut my teeth on the mechanical side of the Benz line when one of my graduate school class mates bought a 1959 190C and I ended up as the "hydrac" transmission trouble shooter by default. No enviable task, by the way. I love my little C230,as a daily driver, because it goes where you put it, moves when you need it,and gets decent fuel mileage as long as you don't let it seduce you into putting the throttle down. I'm currently looking at a "project" car so I joined the forum as I'm very impressed with the level of knowledge, support, and professionalism exhibited by the members. Honored to join you, Tvspi

Smile W124 sedan

Hello, I have a chance to buy a w124 Sedan. It is a 1992 400e, two owner car that is rust free, accident free, near perfect interior, good rubber, aftermarket stereo. It has some running issues but has had nearly $1400 dollars spent on in the past year. (See more details in my posts in the W124 part of the forum). That's about it until I make a final decision on the purchase. Price is $850 because PO wants it gone by July4 "is feed up with it!"Thanks for asking, Tvspi
