Camry Hybrid (Cassandra) is the most dependable car I have ever owned. Zero (0) repairs in almost 5 years, inexpensive maintenance, first set of tires lasted 45K, has averaged around 35 miles per gallon throughout its life, highly recommended in consumer magazines.

...also the most boring car I have ever driven.

The CLK takes us to the mountains and the coast, while the Camry sits and occupies space in the garage.

Hey, 35 mpg is what my 1980 VW Rabbit was doing with gas pedal pushed firmly into the floor 99% of the time.
What year is the hybrid?

Haven't heard from the OP

and probably never will again. I'll bet he's sorry he ever made his first post. Way to shut up someone who is not a Benz fanatic like the rest of us, guys.

It's an '09 purchased late in '08. Both my Rabbit diesels, an '80 2-dr 4sp and an '81 Caddy 5sp (??--been a long time) got better than 35 mph on average. My next car after that was going to be some kind of W123 diesel, but getting divorced, selling a house, moving, etc, etc, spoiled that and I wound up with an '86 Chevy C10.

Best Wishes

I look at it differently.
You can't have something broken if you don't have it.
MB is having lot of complicated parts other cars never will have.

I too see a recent trend - at least in the U.S. market - higher prices, fewer features, fewer option choices, and lower quality interiors. The changes seem particularly jarring between the W211 and W212 E class. My 2004 E500 was a major improvement over my 1995 E320. I consider my 2011 E550 a good car, and love the additional power, but the interior suffers in comparison to the 2004 E500 it replaced - little things like the split folding rear seats (and the rear headrests) are less elegant - the W212 interior just looks and feels cheaper. I see the same trend with the 2014 E Class - options and features missing (e.g. Airmatic is now an extra cost option on the E550, no V8 wagon (unless you spring for the $100K plus E63), no V8 in the "luxury" E class...
