Hi everyone from South Wales in the U.K. (new member)
Can anyone advise please in relation to a wiring loom containing two wires (1x brown/white and 1x brown) which are soldered into a removable connector/plug below the front passenger seat.
There is an identical one below the drivers seat.
The seats are electrically operated and working perfectly and there is also a separate wiring loom with 6 ? wires and a connector/plug below each front seat which I believe is for operating the respective seats.
The two wires (brown and brown/white) were found to have become disconnected from their soldered joints in the connector/plug in) I was unable to identify which was connected to which.
The wires were dificult to access and solder in place so I resoldered two wires onto the plug with the intention of crimping and joining the existing wires.
What I would like to know is what function does this plug/connector have and the importance of connecting the correct wires.
Is this some form of a switch wire for an air bag ? (if so how does it work)
What would happen if I reverse connect these wires ?
What tests should I carry out if any ?
I do not have heated seats.
