That is fine for basic ODB II stuff, but the transmission codes and its control unit need a device that can handle the MB proprietary protocols.
Torque via an Android device is handy, but far from a pro grade shop scan tool which is what you need to clear the transmission codes from the control unit and ECU.
I ended up get a new TCM the indie shop I went too determined something was up with the one I had. It came in plugged it in, cleared codes it rad perfectly fine... Got it on the road Friday.... Today coming home from work and after driving it all weekend, took 3 round trips each over an hour anyways on the freeway the engine revved and the car lost power; meaning engine revved but car would not move, my exact same issue I had originally! Pulled over to side of freeway turned car off it would not move under and gear R,D,4,3,2,1 etc turned car off and back on and car moved but rpm's were high.... Then my CL came on car would move for a couple hundred feet but then just rev at high rpm and not move turn car off and wait a sec back on and get a few hubdred feet..... Cleared code with "my crappy obd2" reader but no luck it did nothing.... The TCM was very warm, I popped code P0700 and P0715 and still P0410...

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
P0715 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
