I was not trying to be short about it, but you can ruin very expensive items on the car trying to get in even if you hire a locksmith.
At least a dealer knows how to get in with no damage and very little labor time.

Is remote unlocking not working?

Try locking the door from the outside, then unlocking it using the inside handle.

Welcome to the forum.

It has nothing to do with the door. Check the battery connections, disconnect and clean them if necessary. Does anything click when you turn the key (like a starter solenoid)? If so, check the ground cable on the starter. Make sure the battery is fully-charged.

Your boyfriend should be able to solve this easily.

Battery is brand new, connections are good. Nothing clicks when the key is turned, but have all dash lights.
