Wires on the 2 resistors and junction on drivers side inner fender
Hello everyone I'm new here so please bear with me and give me guidance, I'm not exactly sure where to post this... I have a 78 450sl, had it about 5yrs, haven't had any real probs with it, I was poking around under the hood and noticed both resistors and the junction right below were all cracked, pulled them out to get part numbers etc to order new ones, I didn't write anything down or mark anything because it seemed very obvious what went where at the time, well by the time the parts got here it wasn't so obvious, I hooked the 2 solid red wires together at the junction, same thing with the 2 green and yellow, I hooked the red and yellow wire to one end of the 6 ohm resistor and the heavy gage black wire that runs to the positive side of the coil to the other end, I hooked the red and purple wire to one end of the 4ohm resistor and the red and black wire along with the other heavy gage black wire to the other, I think this is correct (nothing has been powered up, I don't want to fry anything!) If in fact this is correct where do I hook the other green & black? (it's hard to tell someone in the past spray painted everything under the hood) I hope this makes sense, I know, it wasn't real bright to take it apart like that... :-/ Thanks for any help anyone can give me!
