Welcome aboard. That's practically new!
The oil and filter service is included as part of every lettered service. There are other things done at each lettered service as well, and all are important.
What is not important is who does them, so you can find a good indie that will take care of your C service if you wish. However, at that mileage I'd just have a B service done. They usually advance about every ten thousand miles (A at 10K, B at 20K, etc.) but there is also a "time" counter just in case mileage is not accumulated. That's where you are.
You may not know that you have a "W211" and that there is a forum specific to that chassis designation. Scroll down the main page into the sedans section and you'll see the W211 forum. Check the stickies for lots of (recurring) information about your car, including services, oil changes, etc.
Good luck and enjoy your new car.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)
