So, I figure an introduction might be a nice way to start... I love big engines, and it's my God given right as an American to cheap fuel and a big V8.
As such, my daily drivers have been all based around that theme...
I've owned 2 E55s, the first from '04 to '11, in which time I took it from 80,000 miles to 305,000, without any major failures. Most reliable car I've ever had - and I wasn't easy on it. That car saw full throttle regularly. When I replaced the E55, I bought a 2003 Audi RS6. T'was a nightmare of an ownership experience, and I quickly unloaded it for another E55 when I realized that the Audi was going to cost me $5,000 a year to maintain... the devil you know, right?
I'm happy to be back in my Affalterbach chariot! Took a bath on the Audi, but c'est la vie! The E55 is bone stock for the most part, except for a hard wired Valentine (I always run 85 mph around the local freeways - have to have my electronic countermeasures in place) and a hand control setup which enables me to drive the car - if anyone's interested, there's a look at the control setup:
Professionally speaking, I'm a software engineer/programmer, though how I ended up here is a bit of a mystery to me - my degree is in Political Science... alas.
