MB undercoating is good.
Slat is still a factor. Keep her clean after each round of salt used in snow/ice storms and the body should hold up well. A few panels on the car are aluminum and will not rust.
Some people do have their MBs rustproofed. Especially those that that plan to keep them until they can no longer be kept on the road economically. The problem with that is that rustproofing is only as good as the person applying the material inside the panels and to the under body.
