how to remove & clean *suspension body valve* on cls 55 amg

hi everyone hope you all are well

i wanted to know how to remove the body valve which is connected to the airmatic compressor on a cls 55 amg

i have uploaded a sample picture of a mercedes body valve up

i dont know if the car needs to be connected to STAR while doing this or does it need calibrating after putting back together.

my rear driver side is sagging diagnostics comes back ok no leaks ,my mechanic wants to charge around £1500 to to replace but was told it can be removed and cleaned which may fix the falut

any step by step guide out there from WIS...?
really would appreciate it

updated with correct picture

The valve you posted is not for Airmatic, it is for ABC so which system do you have, ABC or Airmatic and if ABC is this the rear valve?

Your mechanic is correct, but do not waste your time trying to clean it, this in my experience never works. The pump has to be removed to replace the valve, I can give you the whole procedure if your mechanic does not know how to do it.

This operation should be carried out on a wheels free lift to prevent injury, naturally once the pipes are disconnected the car will drop albeit slowly.

Or he could do it with the front end up and on axle stands.

As for calibration, it is not always required only sometimes, so it is pot luck there.

Yup, one pipe goes to the central reservoir and the other four to the struts.
