Hi I am Steve from Sunny Scotland

Hello there. I am well known on the UK Benz scene but thought I would join here.

I am a keen driver and photographer and love going for a drive in my Mercedes. I am a fan of all things rear drive.

I have a C220cdi estate Thats a 2.1 4pot diesel turbo. It makes a mere 170bhp but its very efficient, practical and its a pleasant thing to drive.

Magnificent! I've always wanted to visit. According to a cousin that did a lot of research over there while in the Army a couple of decades ago, the family tree supposedly branches from England up into bonny Scotland. The family name was Arborn, but was changed to Arburn upon arrival in the states. Likely to evade arrest.

Cheers,

Kevin

Do it pal.

Its a wonderful country I live in. A lot of Americans I've spoken to can trace their roots miles back. I don't know anything beyond my grand parents

Driving over here, fuel is more expensive and most Mercedes here are 4pot diesels which do about 50% more miles per gallon than a 6pot petrol. But fuel costs 50% more here so fuel costs are IMHO broad comparible.

Hire a car, book a flight to London or better still Glasgow....

Follow this route

Trust me, its the best of Scotland
