New Benz Mama

So Im brand new to all of this. Mercedes, diesel, and forums. Forgive me if I fumble around a lot. I'm a quick learner though, so any tips would be appreciated.

Anyways, what you really wanna know, Im sure, is.... THE CAR: Well, its a 1984 300SD. I dont know what else is pertinent, so please ask all relevant questions.

Wow, forgive me for my absence.

I have definitely not been on here very much since I first registered. My apologies. Since my first post, I have acquired another 300SD. This one is a 1984, and the original has become a parts car due to the fact that my boyfriend also drives mercedes diesel. Two, as a matter of fact. A '78, and an '82, both 300CD. With my newest one, though, I have experienced some electrical issues with her, causing the seat to fold up on me and scoot back while I was driving. (Not fun. Very scary) And, I have named her Sybil for this reason. I still have no idea what caused this, other than maybe her battery surging power due to getting so low. But other than that not too many issues. However, right now, my main concern is the fact that I have t turn the key any number of times, before she will even try to turn over. The starter clicks every time, but then nothing else happens. I have been told that this is probably a Neutral Safety Switch issue, so I am off to find the thread that tells me how to change it.

How about a picture?
(you can add car picture as well).
SD is good classic, but 1984 model can sure be challenging.
Not too worry, you will find lot of brain help here.
Just make sure you have hands to turn wrenches

Who says a girl can't wrench on cars?!

And yes, welcome! If there are answers to be had, they're likely here.

Well, more precisely in the W126 forum for your 300SD, but you knew that already.
