A friend of mine works at a local used lot. He posts a few cars on facebook from time to time. One that he posted was a 2005 c230 sport. I thought to myself "wow that's pretty but I bet it costs and arm and a leg".
After finding out the price I was sure I found the replacment for my worn out 2004 gmc canyon.
This car is head and shoulders above anyhting else I was looking at for a daily driver/family car. I was really into the pontiac G8 but couldn't live with 17mpg and a $19K+price for the v8. Wanted a Jeep patriot but could never find what I was looking for or get a decent trade on the truck.
Long story short, buddy was able to get me a great price for my truck, tossed in a two year warranty and I drove off with a clean used mercedes.
It is kind of odd though. I'm a construction worker (electrician with LU #968) and it feels so strange to pull this thing into a parking lot surrounded buy diesel trucks and 500$ work cars. But it's hard to argue with 30 mpg and a decent resale when I buy my newer benz
