Question right brake lamp - message

I got this message of "right brake lamp". The right side brake bulb was not working, I bought one, and replaced it. But the message is still in. Does this mean I didnt put the new bulb properly? I didnt check that if its working
Or do I have to delete or reset the message now?

Well, that could simply be a reflection that those browsing the "general" forum don't have that much specific knowledge about your car.

Just a guess, but you'll probably have better luck with specific questions about your car if you search (or post in) the forum that is specific to your car.

Good luck.

The first thing would be to check if the new bulb lights up or not. I tried to have a look but did not see anything due to the distance, perhaps the same for the 74 others that viewed the thread.

Can you please check the bulb yourself and report?

There would not be any need to reset codes (for the parking and main lights you would have to turn the light switch to zero and back to automatic or what ever it was, if not zero already).

Check your bulb. Usually the bulb only fits correctly one way if not it wont make contact and therefore it won't light up. Good luck.

Perhaps I misunderstood OP's comment "I didnt check that if its working", might have referred to the bulb itself.

In addition to the previous, it could be an issue with the bulb socket (corroded or burnt or mechanically broken) or the connector (overheated from resistance cause by corrosion) or it could be broken wiring (again depends on the model, wiring going via the trunk lid hinges...).

A cheap multimeter helps the detective work a lot.
