Can't decide if it's worth it. Dealer said 8k. Getting another estimate from an independent transmission shop. Love the car but......$$$$

If I don't fix it, any ideas how to scrap it?

What a rip, get a rebuilt unit for $3500 parts and labor. Then again, it is a c230 so thats already half the value of the car. Put some lucas oil in and trade it in LOL

Found a shop that will rebuild the transmission for $2800-$3200, w/1 yr warranty. Hopefully I can get another yr out of it before something else comes up
