Transmission issue

Hi guys,

i'm newly registered here but already a long time follower of this excellent forum. I read lots about transmission issues but still i would like to have your opinion to see whether I'm right. I live on a small beautiful island in the Carribbean with hardly any Benz knowledge available on the island so heavily dependent on this forum.

Issue at hand is that e few weeks back the cars showed rough gear shifting from 2-3 and 3-4. All other shifting goes smooth. Last weekend while driving and stopping for an intersection I noticed the slow accelleration and found the car was stuck in 3. Stopped the car, turned off and on and issue resolved. Following day car went immediately in 2, to never come out of that again even with stopping and starting engine.

Limped to a garage, where they changed transmission fluid and filter and car runs again however still with rough shifting. The Pressure Regulator Valve Spring and other springs are ok.
The error messages from the computer revealed P1747, P0715 and 013, 014, 097, 109, 110, 134, 135. Only the P1747 and P0715 remained after the change of fluid.

I would like to know:
- is it correct to say that the speed sensors on the conductor plate are broken
- can I safely drive with the car (with rough shifting) until the conductor plate arrives on the island

Any advise highly appreciated.

the speed sensor on the conductor plate was cracked. conductor plate replaced and car drives extremely smooth again. only worry is that the plastic sensor itself was cracked and not the connector joint. Has anyone an idea whether the fault can happen again on a short notice? attached a picture of the broken sensor.
