Air recirculation button problem

Hello, there has been some talk in past forums about the lack of full manual control of the air recirculation button. My wife has a very serious respiratory problem that makes it dangerous for her to inhale exhaust fumes and other pollutants while in our c300. The dealer said there is a code that they could use that would reset the control to manual, however the fatherland has refused to give it. I've tried Mercedes customer service and got a somewhat rude "NO".

Can anyone help me get the codes to change the air recycle? Can anyone help me contact someone at a higher level at Mercedes? Please no comments about why they have this feature as I am fully aware of Mercedes stance. I have seemed to service the last ten years of recirculated air without passing out or crashing. My wife is technically disabled from her condition and any snarky comments would be in very bad taste.

The computer controlled and timed recirculating button is safety measure.
Make it manual and sooner or later somebody forget about car ventilation.
Meaning your wife might not suffer from road fumes, but would die due the CO2 depleting the oxygen.
